The PAWS Chicago Adoption Center is located near the intersection of Clybourn Avenue and Cortland Street in the heart of Lincoln Park.

The immaculately clean facility is designed to meet the needs of the city's homeless canine and feline guests, while welcoming and encouraging involvement from the community.

Part of PAWS Chicago's mission lies in redefining the concept of an “animal shelter.” The Clybourn Avenue site creates a bright, welcoming, accessible home-away-from-home for animals and is in the center of one of the most progressive and animal-friendly communities in the country. The nonprofit is revolutionizing the sheltering of Chicago’s homeless animals by opening the first state-of-the-art, cageless No Kill shelter in the Midwest.

Suites instead of cages create a quiet environment inside the shelter and matchmakers are on hand to link adopters with the perfect pets to meet their needs. The shelter's spay and neuter clinic is located in South Lawndale at 3516 W. 26th St.
