Masked Boys Rob DePaul Pedestrian at Gunpoint

Police are looking for three teenaged boys who they say robbed a man who was walking through the DePaul University campus earlier this week.

Chicago Police are searching for three culprits of a Monday armed robbery near DePaul University in which a man was approached by what he says were masked teens.

The incident reportedly occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Monday near the corner of Kenmore and Belden avenues.

"The offenders were described as three males that were in their early teens," says a campus alert. "The offenders displayed a gun and demanded the victim's valuables."

The trio stole a laptop and other belongings from the victim before fleeing the scene.

Police said they were wearing black clothing and masks over their faces. They're believed to be between 13 and 16 years old.

Officers are reminding residents to be aware of their surroundings and to avoid walking alone at night.
