'Cozy' Andersonville Diner Now Open in Former Trotter's To Go Space

A new breakfast and lunch diner has settled into a space near the DePaul University campus that's been vacant since last summer.

An Andersonville staple has added a second location on Fullerton Avenue, not far from the DePaul University campus.

Pauline's has settled in at 1337 W. Fullerton Ave., in the former Trotter's To Go carryout space. It's adjacent to LA Tan and across the street from Lakeshore Sport and Fitness.

Touting the mantra "Andersonville's coziest diner," the eatery has been open for about 17 years, according to the business' website. It recently opened its Lincoln Park doors.

Known for its breakfast, the restaurant also serves up lunch and is open 365 days a year until 3 p.m.

"Pauline’s is an authentic neighborhood diner serving American comfort food classics," the site says. "Enjoy our five-egg omelets, pancakes, benedicts, biscuits and gravy, burgers, soup, sandwiches, and salads."

Trotter's To Go shuttered last July. It was an offshoot of Charlie Trotter's in Lincoln Park, which closed Aug. 31, 2013. Chef and owner Charlie Trotter says he's taking a hiatus from cooking to travel and pursue his education.
