PHOTOS: Bollywood Movie Films on Diversey
After posting a false movie title to throw locals off, the Bollywood movie is under way in Chicago's North Side neighborhoods, including Lincoln Park.
Lake View is flooded with movie crews, production trucks and Indian natives as the Bollywood movie Dhoom 3: Back in Action films in the alleys near the corner of Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road.
According to a production assistant on the set, actors did the more dangerous and action-packed stunts on Wednesday. The huge group of workers moved around between alleys next to Yak-Zies bar on Diversey on Wednesday and Thursday, and then the large alley between Pine Grove Avenue and Sheridan on Friday.

Production company Big Rock, LLC posted pink flyers to apartment buildings on Oct. 5 notifying residents the movie Victor’s Venom would be filming Oct. 11-12. However, as Loop North News reports, both “Big Rock” and “Victor’s Venom” are fake names, a trick reminiscent of when Chicago film crews referred to The Dark Knight as Rory’s First Kiss.
Dhoom 3 is the third installment of the popular Bollywood cop series starring Indian actor Amair Kahn as an acrobatic thief able to escape a hero cop and his sidekick, according to Huffington Post Chicago. The villain is played by Aamir Khan, while the officers are played by Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.
