Local Overnight Crash Sends 3 to Hospital
Police say a crash early Saturday morning left three people injured.
Police reported early Saturday that three people were injured in a Lincoln Park crash that involved two taxi cabs.
The accident occurred around 2:25 a.m. near the six-way intersection of Halsted Street and Lincoln and Fullerton avenues, police said.
Around that time, a taxi driving southbound on Halsted Street went to make a left turn onto Fullerton and was hit by an oncoming vehicle, which then struck a second taxi at the intersection.
The vehicles were all towed from the scene and three people were taken to two hospitals—one to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and the others, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to Chicago Police News Affairs representatives.
