Froyo Fans, Rejoice: 2 New Shops Opening Soon

Frozen yogurt is quickly becoming a trend in and around Chicago. Lincoln Park, which will soon be getting two new trendy froyo options, is no exception.

A popular frozen yogurt shop quickly multiplying on the North Side—and throughout the suburbs, too—is bringing not one, but two new franchises to Lincoln Park.

Forever Yogurt is opening its doors news month at both 2727 N. Clark St. and 818 W. Fullerton Ave., CEO Mandy Calara recently told Patch. Hot pink-colored signs plastered across the Fullerton location last week were shielding under way interior renovations from passersby.

The Chicago-based company, headquartered at 215 W. Ohio St., is rapidly expanding, with more 90 locations marked as “Coming Soon” or “Seeking Space” on its website.

Among the newest additions are two in nearby Lake View. A third potential store on Southport fell through, representatives said last month.

“That deal we had actually fell through, but we’re trying hard to grab the next available space (on Southport) between Addison and Roscoe,” Calara said.

The flagship Forever Yogurt store was founded in the Wicker Park neighborhood.

"Inspired by the enthusiastic personality of the Wicker Park, Forever Yogurt has evolved into a beloved brand that provides a refreshingly sweet perspective on the frozen yogurt business," its website says. "With each new store opening, Forever Yogurt strives to adopt the individuality of the community while still providing an absolutely delicious product."

No two locations are alike, representatives said, but all focus on customers' selection and creativity. Hundreds of flavor combinations—maple bacon donut, New York cheesecake and snickerdoodle, to name a few—are available, along with yogurts tailored to dietary restrictions.
