UPDATE: Elderly Driver Crashes Through Apple Store, Police Say
A man reportedly crashed his vehicle through the front of Lincoln Park's Apple store Sunday evening.
One person was injured on Sunday night after an elderly man crashed through the glass storefront of Lincoln Park's Apple store.
Emergency responders were called around 6:30 p.m. to the store at 801 W. North Ave., said a spokesman for Chicago Police News Affairs. Moments earlier, a dark-colored Lincoln Town Car had driven through the glass, coming to a stop inside.
"At that point I hear tires screeching and then I turned around and I looked and saw this car coming into the store. I saw it still coming so I ran so I could get out of the way because I thought it was going to hit me," a witness said, according to ABC.

One person at the scene was reported injured and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital, police said. That individual was listed in good condition Sunday evening, officials said.

Reports were circulating Monday morning that the registered owner of the car was 89 years old.
The store was set to close about 30 minutes after the crash, according to its website.
